Last month, we had the pleasure of playing for a close couple friend of ours. My husband was the best man in the wedding and I coordinated the live music. This was a really special event for us and we were able to play some cool new pieces! Check out the details!

Memories ::
It was a real treat to perform for the wedding of close friends of my husband and myself! Several weeks before the wedding, we sat down with Phil and Mallory to finalize music for their wedding. We had several previous conversations about how they wanted to include music from World of Warcraft as well as some of their favorite movies. Phil and Mal actually met playing World of Warcraft when Phil was living in Massachusetts and Mal was living in Iowa. They started dating long distance and when it became clear that this was going down a serious path, Mallory moved out to Massachusetts. Since she moved out here, we have spent countless evenings on double dates (and triple dates with Phil’s sister and her husband!). It was really special to sit down with them and put together the music for their wedding!
There was some threat of thunder storms in the forecast for their wedding date, but the weather held out for the entire event! I performed with the quartet for the wedding ceremony atop Hyland Orchard’s beautiful hilltop ceremony site. The rest of the group continued music for the cocktail hour while we took family and bridal party pictures. The food was delicious during cocktail hour (my son thoroughly agrees!).
DJ Mike took over after the string trio finished the cocktail hour. Bridal party entrances were announced and the couple danced their first dance to Fly Me to the Moon. Dinner was served (also delicious!) and DJ Mike continued music through dinner. After dinner, the couple made their way to the dance floor. Outside the pavilion, lawn games were set up as well as a bonfire. My husband made his best man speech which had myself and Phil’s sister crying. We had such a wonderful time and were so glad to be a part of the celebration of their love!
